What makes a Social Media Extravaganza?
What do you get when a group comes together, uses the most popular social networks (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Blip.fm, Livestream) to mobilize, as well as to connect the New Haven, CT online and offline community? Welcome to Share-A-Thon 2009! (See Press Release)
On Thursday, December 10th, 2009, the Social Media Club of New Haven, Connecticut (SMC New Haven), and the generous support of sponsors and volunteers, is bringing you the 1st Annual Share-A-Thon 2009. Share-A-Thon 2009, is a full day fundraising event that will consist of music, live interviews, special guests, giveaways, promotions, and local news coverage. Share-A-Thon 2009 will be held at Claire's Corner Copia in downtown New Haven, CT from 11am to 7pm.
Through the use of social media and community action, Share-A-Thon 2009 will bring awareness to local nonprofit organizations, and to local business owners, while raising money for the United Way of Greater New Haven. To donate, click here or the button below.
Everyone in the community is invited to stop by to join SMC New Haven and Claire's Corner Copia for New Haven's 1st ever Social Media Fundraising Telethon event. The owner of Claire's Corner Copia will be offering special price fixed, lunch, and dinner items on the day of the event. Stop by and purchase from the special lunch or dinner menu to receive one raffle ticket, and will automatically be entered in our contests for a chance to win one of many prizes donated by local business owners.
